IPL Photorejuvenation

IPL photorejuvenation is a device-based treatment that uses intense pulsed light to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and vascular concerns, improve uneven skin tone, and enhance overall skin quality. Treatment settings, target areas, and the number of sessions are determined individually following consultation with a specialist.

Photorejuvenation is a device-based treatment that uses IPL - Intense Pulsed Light technology. IPL is not a laser. It delivers a broad spectrum of light wavelengths and uses specialized filters to target specific structures within the skin.

The light energy is absorbed by pigment and superficial blood vessels in the skin. This may help gradually reduce sun-induced pigmentation, uneven skin tone, redness, and visible superficial vascular changes.

The treatment may also be used to improve signs of photoaging and support a clearer, brighter, and more even-looking complexion. IPL does not significantly alter facial volume or contours. Its primary purpose is to improve skin tone, colour, and overall visual quality.

At NUAGE Clinique, every treatment begins with a consultation. The specialist assesses the patient’s skin phototype, pigmentation and vascular concerns, skin sensitivity, recent sun exposure and tanning history, medical history, and desired result.

Based on this assessment, the appropriate light filter, energy level, pulse duration, and other treatment settings are selected individually. Correct adjustment of the parameters according to the patient’s skin type and specific concern is essential for safe and effective treatment.

Results develop gradually. Following treatment, pigmented spots may temporarily become darker before fading over time. Improvements in redness and visible vascular changes may also take several weeks to become noticeable.

A course of treatments may be recommended to achieve the desired result. The number of sessions and the intervals between them are determined individually according to the condition of the skin, the concern being treated, and the protocol of the device used.
